Tommy Fury sets condition for Jake Paul rematch: ‘Serious Numbers Only’

Tommy Fury responds to Jake Paul’s claims, emphasizing his condition for a rematch

Tommy Fury has clarified his stance on a potential rematch with Jake Paul, stating that the fight will only happen if the financial offer meets his expectations.

The two first faced off in February 2023, with Fury securing a split-decision victory despite a final-round knockdown. This bout marked Jake Paul's first professional loss. Since then, Paul has rebounded impressively, including a controversial win against boxing legend Mike Tyson in a match streamed live on Netflix.

Recently, Jake Paul claimed Fury declined an $8 million offer for a rematch on Netflix, igniting public debate. Fury quickly fired back, asserting his willingness to fight if the terms are right.

“Nobody is running from that fight,” Fury said on social media. “I beat you once already and handed you your first loss. I can give you a second one, no problem. But let’s talk some serious numbers down the phone. You know where I am.”

Fury also dismissed Logan Paul’s recent claims on his podcast that he was avoiding the rematch, adding, “I can come back after a year and beat the pair of you. At the end of the day, if you want a fight, let’s talk serious numbers.”

This focus on clear financial terms is consistent with Fury's recent actions. He withdrew from a planned January bout against former UFC fighter Darren Till, citing Till’s alleged refusal to adhere to standard boxing rules. Jake Paul publicly criticized the withdrawal, fueling further tensions between the two.

The potential Fury-Paul rematch is highly anticipated, given their first fight’s success and the popularity of both fighters. Fans are now awaiting updates on negotiations for what could be one of the biggest events in crossover boxing.
