Ahsan emphasises engineers'crucial role

Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal highlighted on Monday the pivotal role of engineers in shaping the nation's progress, describing them as the backbone of any society.

Addressing the second International Conference on new trends in Civil Engineering at University of Central Punjab (UCP) in Islamabad, the minister underscored engineers' significant contributions to key national projects.

The minister while commenting on the growing population of Pakistan said that according to the latest census, the country's population growth rate had increased from 2 percent to 2.55 percent and this put immense pressure on resources, agriculture and food security.
