Gold prices rise amid gains in global market

Gold and silver prices rise locally and internationally as global market trends push prices up.

Gold and silver prices in Pakistan saw an increase today, reflecting the global market trends. As of now, the price of 24K gold is Rs281,000 per tola, Rs240,920 per 10 grams, and Rs24,092 per gram.

Silver, on the other hand, is priced at Rs3,280 per tola, Rs2,812.10 per 10 grams, and Rs281.21 per gram.

Internationally, gold prices are also on the rise, with the price per ounce increasing by $14.76, now standing at $2,647.87.

This marks a 0.56% gain, which has impacted the local market, contributing to higher gold and silver rates in Pakistan.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) recorded a positive performance at the start of the business week, with the index rising by 1,169.94 points (1.07%).

The market's current index stood at 110,223.89 points during intra-day trading.

At 11;50 am, PSX marking an increase of 1,169.94 points from the previous session's closing of 109,053.95 points.

During the intra-day trading, the KSE-100 Index reached a high of 110,248.98 and a low of 107,625.91.

A total of 258,860,473 shares were traded, with a market value of Rs 19.37 billion.

The day's trading reflects an optimistic sentiment among investors, contributing to a positive outlook for the stock market.
