Lst of 200 missing persons from D-Chowk ready: PTI's Barrister Gohar

PTI ready to submit list of 200 missing persons to Imran Khan.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has confirmed that the party had compiled a list of 200 persons who went missing during the party's protest at Islamabad's D-Chowk protest.

Speaking to media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Gohar stated, "This list is ready, and we will submit it to PTI founder Imran Khan" Express News reported.

Gohar added that the party would continue to address the issue on every available forum. "We are working on this matter and will present the report to Imran Khan," he said.

Regarding the 2019 agreement between PTI and the government on Madrassa registration, Gohar reiterated that PTI remained committed to its terms. "The 2019 agreement on registering Madrassas is correct, and PTI stands by it," he said.

Gohar stressed the importance of modern education in Madrasahs and called for reforms in the sector.

He also responded to remarks made by PTI's Faisal Vawda, who has frequently commented on party matters. "Vawda regularly makes statements, but I do not respond to them," Gohar said.

He emphasised the importance of focusing on the release of PTI founder Imran Khan. "Imran Khan's life is important to us," Gohar added.

When asked about discrepancies in the reported death toll during the D-Chowk protests, Gohar addressed the issue, explaining, "Initially, it was said there were eight deaths, then 12. These numbers have varied, but we are focused on the issue at hand."

Gohar also clarified his stance on the differing accounts of fatalities shared by PTI member Aleema Khan.

"I always give a responsible statement after consulting with the core committee and other leadership," Gohar said, maintaining that his views align with the party's collective decision.
