Johnny Depp's son Jack works as a bartender at one of Paris’ trendiest restaurants
Jack Depp, the reclusive 22-year-old son of Hollywood icon Johnny Depp and French actress Vanessa Paradis, has been quietly working at L’Area, a trendy Lebanese restaurant in Paris’ Bastille quarter. Known for its mosaic floors and star-studded clientele, the restaurant is a hub for music, fashion, and film industry insiders, including regulars Matt Damon and Matt Dillon.
Jack, who prefers a life out of the spotlight unlike his sister Lily-Rose Depp, spent two years working shifts behind the bar and in the kitchen, where he reportedly excelled at preparing mezze dishes. Restaurant manager Edouard Chueke praised Jack, calling him “a great guy” and “a good employee.” Chueke revealed that while Jack left a few months ago, he is expected to return next year.
L’Area holds special significance for the Depp family, as Vanessa Paradis and Lily-Rose are regular patrons. Lily-Rose, 25, has even been seen mixing cocktails behind the bar. Jack’s quiet life stands in contrast to Lily-Rose’s burgeoning acting career, with her recent success starring in the Dracula-inspired Nosferatu.
Jack’s low-key pursuits align with his parents’ wishes to shield him from fame during childhood. In a 2007 interview, Paradis emphasized her commitment to keeping her children away from the limelight. Johnny Depp also expressed relief in 2014 that Jack showed no interest in acting, highlighting his artistic talents in drawing and music instead.
Jack divides his time between France and the U.S., speaks fluent French, and has been linked to French model Camille Jansen. Despite his famous lineage, Jack appears content living a more grounded and private life.
