Dominique Brown, a Disney-focused influencer, tragically passed away at 34 after consuming food containing allergens.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, Brown attended an event organized by pop culture retailer BoxLunch. Attendees reported that she unknowingly consumed food that triggered a severe allergic reaction, leading to her death.

Fellow Disney influencer Matt Desmond alleged that the food served at the event was not clearly labeled with its ingredients.

BoxLunch issued a statement to Us Weekly saying, "We are devastated by the passing of Dominique Brown, a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective, who suffered a medical emergency at an event hosted by BoxLunch Thursday in Los Angeles. Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time."

According to a source cited by Us Weekly, BoxLunch had informed the venue of Brown's allergies prior to the event. The company is now providing grief counseling to staff and members of the BoxLunch Collective, to which Brown also belonged. An independent investigation has been launched to examine the incident further.

Known online as HellooDomo, Brown was celebrated for her Disney-related content, focusing on the company’s theme parks. She was also the co-founder of Black Girl Disney, a platform aimed at fostering representation within the Disney community.

In a heartfelt message on Brown’s final Instagram post, her brother Patrick expressed his gratitude to her supporters. "I wanted to take a a moment to say thank you to her social media fam for showing her so much love and light," he wrote. "Disney did bring her joy, but it was unparalleled that she found a community who loved her and Disney as much as she did. I will miss my sister and best friend and that infectious smile she always had. Thank you, truly, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️🥺"
