PTA allows VPN registration through cell phone

The country's internet regulator has allowed the facility of getting a virtual private network (VPN) registered through mobile phone number.

According to a statement issued by the PTA on Saturday, freelancers without a static IP address can now register their VPNs using their mobile numbers.

Meanwhile, internet speed slowed down again in various parts of the country with users facing difficulty in downloading videos and images on social media apps.

People also faced difficulty in browsing other websites due to sluggish speed.
