One killed as truck overturns due to 'brake failure'

A truck, loaded with fodder, overturned on National Highway near Steel Town, killing an elderly man.

Rescue teams and volunteers removed the fodder fell from the truck and cleared the highway for all vehicular traffic after hours.

According to the rescue teams, the driver noticed brake failure of the truck and tried to stop the vehicle by hitting it to the footpath as a result the truck overturned. The police found a man lying dead near the accident site. it seems that the man was hit by the truck while the driver was attempting to stop the vehicle.

The body of the deceased was shifted to Jinnah Hospital. His identity could not be assertained till late, however, he seems to be in his early 60s.
