Johnny Somali, a controversial streamer, is facing serious new legal troubles in South Korea after a now-deleted video surfaced, in which he allegedly threatened female streamers with sexual assault.
Somali, whose real name is Ramsey Khalid Ismael, is already facing trial for a series of charges, including obstruction of business, drug use, creating AI deepfakes of streamers, violating anti-terrorism laws, and spreading North Korean propaganda.
The video, originally uploaded by Somali, shows him confronting Kick streamers Moxie and Xena outside ABC Pizza in Seoul. During the confrontation, Somali reportedly muted his microphone, but when he unmuted it, he allegedly made threats toward Moxie, claiming he knew people who would sexually assault her.

Legal Mindset, a YouTube lawyer who reviewed the footage, explained that while Somali tried to shield himself by muting his mic, his threats still count, and he could face criminal consequences for inciting others to commit assault on his behalf.
In a broadcast by Moxie, she can be heard urgently calling for help, saying, “Please help me!” Somali allegedly escalated his threats, targeting Xena as well with similar comments.
This incident is just one of many that has led to Somali’s legal troubles. Previously, he was charged for causing disturbances during a live broadcast at a 7-Eleven. Currently, Somali is banned from leaving South Korea until his trials are completed. His first court date is set for December 20, with more charges possibly being added as prosecutors expedite the case.
