Cortisa Star, a 19-year-old transgender rapper from Delaware, is gaining rapid attention in the music scene, thanks to viral tracks like 'Bad ASF' and 'Fun'.

The teenager has garnered a growing fanbase on platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, with artists like Charli XCX and Coi Leray following her online.

However, with her newfound fame has come a wave of hate. On X (formerly Twitter), Star recently addressed the negativity by calling her critics “incels,” remarking, “straight ppl found out about me and are losing they damn minds omg.”

Despite this backlash, she remains unfazed and continues to share her journey as a trans woman in the rap industry.

Born on July 11, 2005, Star first gained popularity on TikTok under the handle @icarlycamera, where she posted lip-sync videos and meme content. Her music career took off in August 2023 with the release of her debut track 'Still a Menace', followed by a feature on Cherry X’s album 'I Choose Cherry'.

Her breakout single 'Fun' went viral in early 2024, amassing over 2 million streams on Spotify. Known for her distinctive blend of rap/hip-hop, hyperpop, and drill, Star’s tracks are defined by heavy bass and her signature intro tag, “Hundred bands in my panties.” With over 36K followers on Instagram and 240K on TikTok, her rising star shows no signs of slowing down.
