Police disregard their own transfer ban

Police officials have started to disregard their own issued orders. Three days ago, the inspector general of police imposed a ban on all transfers within the department and ordered the filing of pending transfer cases. However, on Friday, two SPs and now 14 station house officers (SHOs) have been transferred.

According to the issued notification, Umar Afridi has been appointed as the acting DSP of Faqirabad Circle, Ashfaq Khan, the SHO of Chamkani, has been appointed as the acting DSP of Peshawar Khera Circle, Amjad Khan has been assigned as the DSP of Hayatabad, Imran Alam has been placed on line duty, Rafique Khan has been appointed as the SHO of Budh Bair, Aakif Anjum has been transferred to Chamkani Police Station, Fawad Khan has been transferred from Hayatabad to become the SHO of Gulbahar, Nauman Khan has been made the SHO of Eastern, Abdullah Jalal has been transferred to the SHO of Muthra, Shakirullah has been appointed to the Sardarabad Police Station, Azaz Alam has been transferred from Nassar Bagh to Shahpur.
