Nick Fuentes charged with battery after allegedly macing woman at his home
Nick Fuentes, the infamous far-right extremist, has been charged with battery following a confrontation outside his Illinois home.
The 26-year-old has been accused of macing and shoving 57-year-old activist Marla Rose to the ground after she rang his doorbell in response to one of his controversial social media posts about women's rights.
The incident occurred on November 10, after Rose, who was upset by Fuentes's inflammatory remarks, decided to record a video of his home. When Fuentes answered the door, he allegedly sprayed her with pepper spray and physically pushed her down the stairs. The altercation escalated when Fuentes seized Rose's phone and threw it on the concrete, continuing his assault by kicking the device and locking her out.
Fuentes, who has become notorious for his racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric, claimed he was in fear for his life due to receiving death threats following a political joke he posted online. However, authorities and the woman involved found his actions unjustifiable. A video recorded by Rose captured Fuentes’s aggression, which led to police involvement. Despite initial reluctance, Rose has since filed charges, and Fuentes is scheduled to appear in court on December 19.
