Netflix reveals release date for Yo Yo Honey Singh's docufilm 'Famous'

Yo Yo Honey Singh's documentary 'Famous' premieres on Netflix December 20, showcasing his journey to fame.

The much-anticipated documentary on Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, titled Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on December 20. Directed by Mozez Singh, renowned for his work on Human, the film provides an in-depth look into the life of the iconic hip-hop artist, revealing the man behind the persona, Hirdesh Singh.

It chronicles Honey Singh's rapid rise to fame, his struggles, and his triumphant return to the music scene.

Produced by Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain under the banner of Sikhya Entertainment, the documentary promises to showcase the raw and untold aspects of Singh’s life.

The producers shared in a joint statement, “Through Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, we explore his journey from stardom to setbacks and eventual reinvention. It’s fascinating to uncover the real person behind the stage name.”

Director Mozez Singh expressed his excitement, stating, “Honey Singh’s life has been a remarkable journey, and I feel honored to tell his story.

This documentary covers his triumphs, failures, and the emotional price of fame. It will offer a rare, unfiltered glimpse into his life and legacy, which has revolutionized India’s rap and hip-hop scene.”

The documentary is set to be available to global audiences starting December 20 on Netflix.
