Macaulay Culkin's son believes he's Kevin from Home Alone, shares funny moments with dad

Macaulay Culkin’s son, Dakota, mixes up Home Alone scenes with real memories, calling himself Kevin.

Macaulay Culkin recently revealed that his 3-year-old son, Dakota, is a big fan of his iconic 1990 Christmas movie Home Alone. While speaking with E! News, the actor shared that Dakota, along with his younger brother (whose name hasn’t been publicly disclosed), enjoys watching the film and often blends the movie's scenes with his own memories.

Culkin explained that Dakota often refers to himself as "Kevin," the character he portrayed in the film. The toddler even reminisced about "fighting burglars," a line that made Culkin joke, “You’re a lying liar who lies!” when he realized his son was mixing up the movie’s plot with real life.

The actor further shared that he plays along with Dakota's playful claims, asking him if he remembers sliding down the stairs on a sled, to which Dakota enthusiastically responds, “Yep, sure do.” The exchange highlights the child's deep connection to the film, which has become a family tradition.

Culkin’s brother, Kieran, also spoke about Home Alone recently, revealing that he hasn’t allowed his own children, Kinsey and Wilder, to watch the movie yet due to some of its scarier scenes, including a tarantula and the terrifying line from the antagonist, "I’m going to bite off all your fingers." Kieran noted that they may introduce the movie to his kids in the coming years, depending on their comfort level.

Despite the humorous exchange, Culkin continues to enjoy his role as the face of Home Alone, which remains a beloved holiday classic, and his family traditions are now intertwined with the film's timeless appeal.
