Traders in Suha Bazaar protest the alleged custodial killing of gold trader Ejaz by police

Traders in Suha Bazaar and adjoining markets observed a shutdown on Thursday in protest against the alleged custodial killing of a gold trader, Ejaz.
A protest rally was also organised at Rang Mahal against the incident.
According to the traders, local Organised Crime Unit officials allegedly tortured Ejaz under the guise of investigation and extorted money from him. In a video statement, the deceased's son accused the police of detaining his father and extorting Rs200,000, with demands escalating to Rs2 million.
