A man allegedly killed two brothers in the limits of Kotli Sattian police station on Thursday.

According to the police, Naveed Akhtar, the uncle of the deceased brothers, said that he was in the house when he heard gunshots.

When he reached the spot, he saw that the suspect, Shiroz Shahnawaz, had a gun in his hand and was trying to flee.

In the firing, both the brothers Nazarat and Basharat were seriously injured and later succumbed to their injuries, while Tamseela, Qamreen Akhtar and Kiran were also injured, he said, adding that Shiroz Shahnawaz had sent a marriage proposal for Basharat's sister but he refused, therefore, he killed Basharat and his brother.

The police officials said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
