Imran Khan open to talks, forms committee for negotiations: Ali Muhammad Khan
PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan stated that PTI founder Imran Khan has not closed the door on negotiations and has formed a committee to discuss the matter, Express News reported.
Speaking on the programme Centre Stage, he said, “If dialogue progresses, it’s a good sign. In my personal opinion, dialogue is the only way forward; there is no other solution. No party wants to see Pakistan in ruins.”
Khan revealed that he was not allowed to meet the PTI founder on Thursday and last met him on November 15. He also expressed disapproval of the government’s recent actions against fake news, describing them as efforts to control the public through social media regulations.
“The truth is that the government belongs to one entity, but the mandate lies with another,” he remarked, addressing the current political climate. Responding to a question, he acknowledged that PTI is facing increased challenges but expressed hope that the party would overcome them.
Criticising the government, Khan said, “Instead of welcoming those asking for their mandate, bullets were fired at them.” He also stressed the importance of thorough preparation before convening All Parties Conferences, highlighting the need for prior communication on such matters.
