Liam Payne’s devastated girlfriend gathered her belongings into cardboard boxes, facing an uncertain future just days after bidding a final goodbye to the late singer.

A tearful Kate Cassidy, 25, appeared heartbroken as she packed up her things and moved out of the apartment where she had been staying after the tragedy.

Standing alone on the street surrounded by her belongings, Kate was seen vacating the modern high-rise apartment that was reportedly owned by her late boyfriend.

At one point, the American model and influencer clutched a large, colorful squishmallow—too big to fit into her luggage—which seemed to hold sentimental value from her time with Liam.

A friend arrived to assist Kate in loading boxes and suitcases into a rental van, and together they left for an unknown destination.

According to neighbors, Kate would be relying on her friends’ kindness for temporary accommodation before she returns to the United States to spend Christmas with her family.

Kate had traveled to the UK shortly after the tragedy occurred when Liam fell to his death from the balcony of his third-floor hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last month.

Just weeks prior, Kate and Liam, 31, were making plans for their future together.

The couple, who had been in a relationship for two years, had visited Argentina to attend Liam’s former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert.

Kate returned to Miami on October 14, while Liam stayed behind to renew his U.S. visa.

After the tragic event, Kate went to the UK to join Liam’s family and friends for an emotional funeral at St. Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

Liam was laid to rest, his casket carried to the church in a white horse-drawn hearse.

Among the mourners were Liam’s One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson.

They united in grief, appearing together publicly for the first time since the band split in 2015.
