Pakistan set new world T20I record
Pakistan has become the first team in history to play 250 T20 international matches. This milestone was achieved following their impressive 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the second T20I of the series.
In a dominant performance at Blantyre on Tuesday, Pakistan bowled out Zimbabwe for just 58 runs, securing a commanding win and taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Zimbabwe’s batting line-up collapsed under pressure, with Sufyan Moqim taking 5 wickets for just 3 runs in 2.4 overs.
Pakistan wrapped up the chase by the sixth over, ensuring a straightforward victory.
The match also marked Pakistan’s 250th T20I, a landmark achievement for the team, who have now played more T20Is than any other nation.
Of the 250 matches, Pakistan has won 144 and lost 95. The team has also drawn 4 matches, with 3 decided by super overs and one by a ball-out. Seven T20I matches have ended without a result.
India is second on the list of most T20Is played, having featured in 242 matches.
