Apple Music Replay 2024 unveiled: Here’s how to check your listening habits

Apple Music Replay 2024 unveils user listening habits, top songs, new features, and trends in music streaming.

Apple Music Replay 2024 is now live, offering users a detailed look at their listening habits over the past year. This annual feature, often compared to Spotify Wrapped, gives Apple Music subscribers insights into their most-streamed artists, albums, and genres, revealing trends and personal listening data.

In 2024, pop music dominated the charts, with Sabrina Carpenter and Kendrick Lamar emerging as top artists. Carpenter’s track “Espresso” and Lamar’s “Not Like Us” were among the year’s most-streamed songs globally. Taylor Swift’s 5-year-old hit “Cruel Summer” also made a notable appearance in the top five. Other rising stars such as Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, and Shaboozey earned significant recognition, reflecting their growing popularity across genres.

Apple Music Replay 2024 has introduced new features for users. iPhone users with iOS 18.1 or later can now access their Replay report directly within the app. Other users can still visit the website to view their playlists. A new addition this year is the Replay for Artists, which provides musicians with data on song discovery, top cities of listeners, and the most Shazam-ed tracks. Apple Music also expanded its “Top Listeners” feature, allowing users to explore their position in a top 500 or top 1000 list for their favorite artists and genres. Additionally, the new "streaks" feature shows users their longest streaks of consecutive days spent listening to Apple Music.

Apple Music also introduced a feature called “Date of First Play,” allowing users to track when they first discovered a particular song, artist, or album.

The Replay experience also highlights trends, such as the increasing prominence of female artists and newcomers making their mark on global year-end charts.
