Gandapur faults flawed policies for K-P security woes
Khyber-Pakhtunlhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur paid tribute to the security forces' sacrifices in establishing peace in the province and acknowledged their invaluable contributions.
He stated that the province's issues have worsened due to flawed policies.
Speaking to fresh graduates at the Fourth Convocation of Iqra National University as the chief guest on Tuesday, he reminded the participants of the invaluable contributions of security personnel.
He emphasised the importance of investing in the youth, calling them the nation's asset. "The deteriorated state of our province is a result of incorrect policies. The forces and the public have rendered sacrifices for peace in the province."
Gandaour distributed degrees and medals to the graduating students. A total of 438 graduates received degrees in various disciplines, including 280 bachelor's degrees, 120 master's degrees, and 38 PhDs.
Additionally, 34 students who achieved top positions in their respective fields were awarded gold medals.
Addressing the ceremony, Gandapur congratulated the graduates, their parents, and their teachers, acknowledging their hard work and achievements. He hoped the graduates would continue to work diligently and use their knowledge and skills to serve the country and the nation.
The CM, addressing the graduates, emphasised that there is no substitute for hard work. "It is the students' responsibility to work hard, and Allah will grant success. Learn to compete, never give up, and remain resilient, "he advised. "A single failure cannot hinder your progress; you must continue to move forward."
He encouraged the graduates to advance with faith, determination, and sincerity.
The CM stated that a person who rejoices in others' success becomes a great individual. "To become great, we must rise above envy and malice and focus on collective progress."
He also praised the administration of Iqra University for their contribution to the educational sector and congratulated them for their remarkable achievements in a short period.
"I am pleased to participate in the convocation of a university that has achieved significant progress in such a short time," he said. The provincial chief minister added that no government could advance without the support of the public and private sectors.
"As CM, I fully support the private sector," he said. Gandapur urged the private sector and all other institutions to groom the youth so it can compete at both national and international levels.
