ISLAMABAD:

Omar Ayub, the opposition leader in the National Assembly from the PTI, has resigned from his position as a member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP). The resignation was submitted to National Assembly speaker, Express News reported on Tuesday.

In his resignation letter, Ayub stated that his decision to step down was due to ongoing legal challenges and cases registered against him. He explained that these legal issues were hindering his ability to effectively contribute to the commission's work.

"I have decided to resign from the Judicial Commission due to the legal challenges I am currently facing," Ayub said.
