The Peshawar High Court has granted interim bail to Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, until December 23. The decision was made after hearing her request for corridor bail in multiple cases, reported Express News.

The hearing was conducted by Justice Waqar Ahmed, with Bushra Bibi represented by her lawyer, Alam Khan Adeen Zai. During the proceedings, Adeen Zai informed the court that his client had filed requests for corridor bail in 27 cases due to the various charges filed against her.

The Additional Attorney General advised the court to ensure that Bushra Bibi appears before the relevant courts in accordance with the legal requirements.

Justice Ahmed remarked that the interim bail was being granted to facilitate her appearance in the respective courts, stating that she should attend the hearings as scheduled.

Bushra Bibi’s lawyer requested more time, citing the need for her to appear in over 50 cases. However, the judge declined the request for an extended period, citing the upcoming winter holidays.

Ultimately, the court granted Bushra Bibi interim bail until December 23, allowing her time to appear in the respective courts for the cases against her.
