Rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs has responded to a new lawsuit that accuses him of threatening to kill a fashion designer by dangling her over a 17th-floor balcony. The lawsuit, filed by Bryana 'Bana' Bongolan, demands $10 million in damages and alleges that the incident occurred on September 26, 2016, after a "freak off" party. Reports indicate that the 55-year-old rapper has issued a response to the allegations via a statement from his attorney.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs’ legal team issued a statement highlighting that while anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, it doesn't mean that the allegations are backed by credible evidence. The statement also pointed out that Bryana Bongolan had been considering legal action against Combs since the previous year and had sought legal representation to pursue her claims. Combs firmly denied the accusations and expressed his belief that they would ultimately be proven unfounded. His legal team expressed confidence in the legal system, asserting that the facts would demonstrate that the claims against him were without merit.

Bryana Bongolan filed the lawsuit against Sean 'Diddy' Combs in Los Angeles Superior Court on November 27, 2024. In her filing, she stated that she was not involved in the "freak off" event before the alleged incident. Bongolan claimed that Combs intended to either "kill" her or "intentionally terrorize" her by holding her over the balcony, stripping her of safety and control over her body. She further alleged that she and her girlfriend were in a bedroom at Cassie Ventura’s apartment when they were "violently" awakened by Combs banging on the door. According to Bongolan, the rapper was intoxicated after a night of partying.

The lawsuit accuses Sean 'Diddy' Combs of assaulting Bryana Bongolan by forcefully grabbing her, turning her to face his chest, and groping her despite her requests for him to stop. As she fought back, Combs allegedly changed his hold, lifting her by her armpits, and positioned her on the edge of the 17th-floor balcony.

The situation reportedly grew more intense until Cassie Ventura intervened, shouting at Combs to stop and informing him that Bongolan’s girlfriend was also in the apartment at that time.
