Karachi weather update: Nights to get colder this week
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted an increase in cold weather and strong winds in Karachi starting from Tuesday.
According to the Early Warning Center, the city is expected to experience stronger-than-usual winds, which will lead to a decrease in temperature and an increase in chilliness.
The winds are expected to blow from the eastern/northeastern direction of Balochistan, and temperatures in the city could drop to 16°C on December 4.
The PMD has also indicated that light rain and drizzle are expected in rural areas of Sindh, including Qambar-Shahdadkot, Larkana, and Jacobabad.
Other parts of the province will experience dry weather with chilly nights. Additionally, morning fog is likely in the northern regions of Sindh.
On Sunday morning, minimum temperature was recorded at 17.7 degrees Celsius, down by 2.7 degrees compared to the previous day.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), due to the possible effects of the icy winds of Siberia accompanying the westerly system entering Balochistan from December 5, the morning and night temperatures are expected to drop by two to three degrees due to the cold winds.
According to the forecast of the PMD Early Warning Center, moderate weather with cool nights is expected from today (Monday) due to the influence of the winds from Balochistan on the city.
Strong gusts of wind were expected in the city on Tuesday. During the week, the minimum temperature was expected to remain around 17 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 29 and 31 degrees.
