LeBron James accused of dodging questions about Diddy’s alleged scandal and their past ties

LeBron James is one of those distancing himself from Sean “Diddy” Combs. While the NBA superstar has previously spoken highly of Diddy’s parties, including in a resurfaced clip reported by the New York Post, he now refuses to comment on the situation, even when called to do so.

It’s understandable why many famous people are eager to distance themselves from their past connections to Diddy. In the early 2000s, his white parties were seen as the ultimate social gathering, but now, many who attended are trying to erase their association — including basketball legend LeBron James.

Earlier this year, James faced criticism from multiple sources for staying silent on Diddy’s allegations. "Lebron James been ducking smoke from Candace Owens," said Kwame Brown, a former NBA player, commenting on James’ refusal to speak up about the Diddy situation, as reported by Sports Illustrated. "He’s been ducking questions from anyone asking him about this Diddy situation."

Controversial political commentator Candace Owens had previously criticized James for his silence and voiced her frustration again after Brown's remarks. “I’m not okay with [Lebron’s] silence,” Owens remarked after hearing Brown's comments. “We have this former NBA player, Kwame Brown, and he is calling out Lebron James. I think it’s fantastic.”

James’ silence may be particularly notable due to his long-standing involvement in social justice movements, such as his support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

However, it’s worth mentioning that LeBron James is not the only one remaining quiet. Almost every celebrity previously linked to Diddy has kept their distance. Rapper Ray J, for example, revealed in a TMZ documentary that some celebrities are even trying to bribe victims to keep their names out of the public eye.

Suge Knight, the former music producer, has raised concerns about Diddy’s safety, suggesting that the mogul could be in "danger" because of the numerous individuals now distancing themselves from him. Knight hinted that there are people actively working to suppress any tapes Diddy may have, implying that they would go to great lengths to keep their names from being tied to Diddy’s alleged crimes.
