Culture takes centre stage
Sindhi culture was celebrated with enthusiasm in Karachi on Sunday.
Various events were organized in different areas of Karachi to mark Sindh Culture Day. Sindhi cultural tableaus and performance were presented in these events.
Participants expressed their love for their culture by dancing to regional folks songs. The main event was held outside Karachi Press Club, and a large number of citizens gathered there.
The participants arrived in rallies to attend the event. The participants of the event wore Sindhi traditional caps and Ajrak to highlight Sindhi heritage. Various political parties, social, nationalist organisations and others participated in the event.
Folk songs were presented in the event to highlight Sindhi culture. A cultural show was also organized on this occasion in which artists and singers showcased performances which the participants enjoyed.
Addressing the main event of Sindh Cultural Day, Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said that heirs of Sah Latif Sachal Sarmast, and the Qalandar's land are peaceful people.
Shah said that the PPP will not support any project that is hostile to Sindh. The PPP's stance is always the same as that of the people of Sindh.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasised that this day celebrates the rich heritage, vibrant traditions, and timeless values of Sindhi culture.
Sindhi Ajrak, Topi, literature, music, and folk arts symbolise Sindhi civilisation and peaceful coexistence. Sharjeel Memon reaffirmed the Sindh government's commitment to preserving and promoting the culture under the leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari.
PPP has consistently organised cultural fairs, restored historical sites, and supported Sindhi artists.
