Two killed in firing at local festival

Two people were shot dead while another was severely injured at a mela in Millat Town.

The police arrested eight men suspected of being involved in the incident. According to reports the firing during Baba Bootay Shah mela resulted in the death of Abdul Hannan and Waqar, while Ubaid Rauf was injured.

Upon receiving information about the matter, City Police Officer (CPO) Kamran Adil directed the SP of Madina police division to probe into the incident and arrest the attackers.

A team was constituted which conducted raids and arrested eight suspects, including Abdul Kabeer.

The police also seized weapons from their possession.
