The Pakistan Meteorological Department(PMD) has forecast a drop in temperatures in Karachi after December 4, with a possible decrease of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, Express News reported on Friday.

According to Chief Meteorologist Karachi Sardar Sarfraz, a western weather system bringing rainfall has entered Balochistan.

This system is expected to cause rain in various districts of Balochistan before moving towards the northern regions of the country but the cold winds trailing this system are likely to impact Karachi, resulting in lower temperatures.

Sarfraz stated that both minimum and maximum temperatures in Karachi are expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees, with minimum temperatures around 16°C and the maximum reaching 30°C. As a result, cold weather conditions are likely to intensify in the city after December 4.

The Met Department's Early Warning Centre also issued forecasts for light rain and drizzle in rural Sindh districts, including Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Shikarpur, due to the influence of the western weather system on Saturday.
