Boating banned at Khanpur lake

Deputy Commissioner Shozab Abbas has imposed a month-long ban on boating activities at Khanpur Lake under Section 144 of the CrPC.

The ban, effective from November 25 to December 24, aims to prevent conflicts among boat operators and ensure public safety. The decision was taken after a request from the Assistant Commissioner and DSP Khanpur, who highlighted potential risks of unpleasant incidents. Violators will face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and the SHO has been instructed to take strict enforcement measures, including filing FIRs.
