Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan have officially joined the cast of Guy Ritchie's upcoming crime series for Paramount+ with Showtime. The series, which had previously been referred to as The Donovans, was initially designed as a spin-off of the Showtime series Ray Donovan. However, it has been reworked into an entirely new standalone project, with no direct connection to the earlier series.

The show, which is currently in production in London, will feature the trio in key roles: Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a "professional conciliator" working for the Harrigan family. Brosnan portrays Conrad Harrigan, the head of a powerful Irish crime family based in London. Mirren takes on the role of Maeve Harrigan, Conrad’s wife and the matriarch of the family. The series is set to follow the power struggle between two warring families whose businesses span across the globe, with Hardy's character tasked with protecting one of them at all costs.

Guy Ritchie, who has previously collaborated with Hardy on the 2008 film RocknRolla, is directing the series, with Ronan Bennett, the creator of Top Boy, serving as the writer. The series, which is described as a high-stakes gangster drama, is expected to debut in 2025 on Paramount+ with Showtime.

In addition to Ritchie and Bennett, the show’s executive producers include Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, and Jez Butterworth. The project has garnered significant attention due to the star-studded cast and the involvement of renowned creatives in both film and television.
