Fugitive killed, three arrested in Karachi police encounter
In a series of police encounters across Karachi, law enforcement officials neutralized a fugitive dacoit, injured two others, and arrested three suspects.
Recovered items include weapons, stolen cash, mobile phones, and other valuables. Investigations are ongoing, according to the Karachi Police spokesperson.
In the first incident, Sukkan Police engaged in a late-night encounter at Bhains Colony’s 12 Number Road.
One suspect, identified as 27-year-old Mashooq alias Badshah, was apprehended in an injured state and transported to Jinnah Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Recovered items included a pistol with ammunition, a motorcycle, cash, and mobile phones.
Separately, Shah Latif Police conducted a raid near Landhi Manzil Pump in Kohi Goth, resulting in the capture of two suspects after a shootout.
One, identified as 19-year-old Zakir Ali, sustained injuries, while his accomplice, Amir, was arrested unharmed. Authorities seized a pistol, two stolen mobile phones, and PKR 20,000 in cash.
In a third incident, Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police intercepted suspects near North Karachi’s Sector 1A-4 during the early hours of Thursday.
One suspect, identified as 35-year-old Farhan, was injured and apprehended, while his accomplice fled. Recovered items included a pistol, ammunition, two mobile phones, and cash.
Police are continuing efforts to locate additional suspects linked to these cases.
Previously, in a rapid response, Karachi police successfully identified a woman whose body was discovered in DHA Phase VII within 24 hours and are now conducting intensive raids to apprehend the suspected murderer.
SHO Defence Police Station, Shaukat Hayat Awan, confirmed that the victim, identified as Hasina, was found near Fatima Masjid on Friday night.
The investigation has swiftly led to the identification of a suspected culprit, Hazratullah, who had been living with Hasina for the past one and a half years.
The couple had recently moved to a house in Qayyumabad a month ago.
