Normalcy restored as roads reopen
After four days of chaos that brought the twin cities to a standstill, Islamabad and Rawalpindi are finally breathing a sigh of relief as normalcy returns.

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has also reopened all sections of motorways that were closed on November 22.
According to NHMP North Zone spokesperson Muhammad Saqib, key routes including the M-2 (Islamabad to Lahore), M-3 (Lahore to Abdul Hakeem), M-4 (Pindi Bhattian to Multan), and M-14 (Dera Ismail Khan to Hakla) are now fully operational.
The NHMP has advised the public to contact its helpline at 130 or visit its official social media platforms for updated traffic information.
Meanwhile, metro bus services, public transport and goods transport have resumed operations. Marketplaces, including fruit and vegetable markets, have regained their usual bustle.
Key routes such as Blue Area, Jinnah Avenue, D-Chowk, Srinagar Highway, T-Chowk Rawat, Faizabad Interchange, Chungi No 26, GT Road, and all access roads to Islamabad International Airport have reopened.
