ECC urges swift action on pending decisions

ISLAMABAD:

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) expressing concern on Wednesday over the delay in the implementation of its decisions directed the ministries concerned to take necessary measures in this regard.

The ECC met here with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in the chair. The meeting reviewed the implementation status of its decisions related to finance, interior, industry, housing, food security and research, energy, and national health and other matters.

During the meeting, the ministries concerned gave a detailed briefing to the participants on the current status of pending issues and the steps taken to resolve them.

The ECC expressed concern over the delay in the implementation of its decisions.

The committee stressed that all the institutions concerned should ensure the implementation of the ECC decisions as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by Industries Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, Energy Minister Awais Leghari, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, federal secretaries and senior officers of the ministries concerned. Minister of State Ali Pervez Malik joined the meeting online.
