IHC cases cancelled amid PTI protest
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) hearings were cancelled on Tuesday due to road closures caused by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest march. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq was unable to reach the court, leading to the cancellation of the cause list in courtroom number 1.
Among the cases scheduled for hearing were PTI founder's appeal against the session court's ruling on the Rs10 billion damage claims against Khawaja Asif, and the chief commissioner and Punjab government's appeal against a single-bench ruling that nullified the ban on prisoners' political conversations.
