Contacts provincial govt to airlift judicial employees

PESHAWAR:

The Peshawar High Court has contacted the provincial government to rescue judicial officers and their families trapped in the conflict-affected Kurram district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The court requested the provision of a helicopter for their safe evacuation, to which the provincial government assured that the judicial officers would be lifted by air.

According to sources, ongoing clashes in Kurram district over the past six days have left judicial officers and staff stranded.

Some officers are trapped with their families. However, the Peshawar High Court has clarified that all judicial officers are safe, and their families have been relocated to secure locations to prevent any untoward incidents.

Sources also revealed that the Peshawar High Court administration is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining constant contact with the provincial government. The government has decided to send a helicopter to rescue the judicial officers and transfer them to safety.

It has also been reported that most of the local judicial staff has already been moved to secure areas, and they will return to their respective locations once the situation improves.

Furthermore, the PHC emphasised to the provincial government that the safe transfer of judicial officers is its top priority and should not be delayed. The high court insisted on immediately airlifting the officers and their families to safe locations.
