Cardi B vows to 'whip everybody’s ass' in 2025, teases new album and 'secret businesses'

Cardi B is gearing up to make 2025 her year, and she’s not holding back with her bold declarations. The rapper took to Instagram Live on Sunday to share her plans for the upcoming year, promising to take control and “whip everybody’s ass” in a fresh reset.

“I’m letting you know right muthafcking now,” Cardi began, making sure everyone got the message loud and clear. 

“Every na or btch that muthafcking play with me in 2024, I’m letting you know right now. Y’all better apologize to me today. Today any na or any btch that played with me y’all better f*cking apologize to me today."

Cardi went on to explain that her energy for 2025 would be unmatched, declaring, “Everybody always say this, every New Years, but this time I’m standing on it. I’m standing on that sht. Next year as soon as 12:00 A.M. hit, I’m hitting the reset button. You hear me? I’m hitting the fcking reset button. I’m whipping everybody’s ass with a wet belt.”

This fiery outburst comes at a time when Cardi B has faced numerous personal and professional challenges, including her decision to delay the release of her long-awaited sophomore album. 

Initially promising to drop it in 2024, the album's release has now been pushed to 2025. “This has been the most weirdest year I have ever experienced," Cardi shared in a candid social media post. 

“I know next year is going to be my fcking year. My album will be out, my secret businesses will be out. I can’t tell you what I’m working on. Hopefully next year I get me a little boyfriend; I’m hoe-less right now. I gotta get my sht together.”

The rapper’s reflection on the challenges of 2024 is rooted in major life changes, including her filing for divorce from long-time husband Offset in July, followed by the birth of their third child in September. Despite these hurdles, Cardi’s resilience shines through as she prepares to take on 2025 with determination and a renewed sense of purpose.
