Girl student consumes poison in hostel
A girl student swallowed poisonous pills and was shifted to a hospital.
Police said Rabia, 22, residing in Kashmir Girls Hostel near Women University in Madina Town, swallowed pills for unknown reasons. Hostel owner Abdul Rehman shifted the student to the hospital where efforts to save her life were underway.
Meanwhile a youth riding a motorcycle died after being crushed under a wall. Police handed over the body to heirs after taking legal action.
According to the details, 32-year-old Waqar, a resident of 74JB, was passing near a house on a motorcycle near 70JB grid station within the Thikriwala police station area.
The wall of the house suddenly collapsed and he was crushed under the debris and seriously injured. When the locals pulled the injured out of the debris, he was already dead. Upon receiving information police reached the spot and handed over the body to heirs after taken legal action
In another incident an eldery man died after two motorcycles collided. The police handed over the body to his family after legal formalities.
Muhammad Nawaz, a 65-year-old resident of 435 GB, was going on a motorcycle when he collided with another motorcycle loaded with cotton bales near Awan Petroleum on Jhumra Road, encountering severe injuries.
He was shifted to the hospital after medical as-sistance, where he died. The police reached the spot and took possession of the body, handed it over to the family after necessary legal action, and started searching for the absconding motorcyclist.
