Five cops injured in check post attack

Unknown armed individuals attacked a police checkpoint in Tank district. As per reports, the attack took place on Monday night on the Gul Imam Police Checkpoint of the district.

During the attack, five police personnel were injured, along with two drivers of poultry transport vehicles passing by.

Upon receiving the information, a heavy contingent of police was dispatched to the site. Police stated that the injured personnel were taken to Tank Hospital, while those with severe injuries were transferred to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan.

Apart from attacks on security forces and police personnel, militant groups in Tank district also tend to clash among themselves.
