Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are reportedly planning a return to Australia after a year marked by personal challenges in the United States. The couple, who primarily live in Nashville with their daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, are said to be considering their Sydney property as a permanent home.

The past year has been especially difficult for Kidman. In September, she lost her mother, Janelle Kidman, prompting her to cancel an appearance at the Venice Film Festival. A source described the year as the couple’s "worst ever," adding, “They’ve barely spent time together, and Nicole has faced much of her distress alone.”

Amid these challenges, the couple is exploring the idea of relocating closer to their roots. Kidman and Urban already own multiple properties in Australia, including a 45-acre estate in the Southern Highlands and several Sydney apartments overlooking the harbor. The family frequently spends the holiday season in Sydney, hosting private New Year’s celebrations.

Reflecting on her grief in a recent British GQ interview, Kidman shared, “It hits you as you get older—it’s a wake-up at 3 am crying and gasping kind of thing.”

While their plans remain unconfirmed, the couple’s potential move underscores their desire for a fresh start and greater family connection. If they proceed, it would mark a significant shift in their lives, joining other celebrities opting for international relocations in search of healing and simplicity.
