Donald Trump launched his own line of guitar merchandise on November 20. The president-elect announced on Truth Social that the collection would include 1,300 limited-edition acoustic and electric guitars. Netizens on X have speculated that the guitars were manufactured in China, though the production source remains unconfirmed.
The guitars feature the “Make America Great Again” slogan inlaid in “authentic pearl” on the neck. They also display the number “45” on the headstock, referencing Trump as the 45th president, along with images of the American flag and a bald eagle.
Some of the guitars are signed by Trump and priced at $10,000, while others range between $1,250 and $1,500. The Presidential Series guitar, available in three colors—red, yellow, and black—is priced at $2,000.
X user @ArtCandee posted on November 21, “Are Donald Trump’s new “Trump Guitars” made in China too? SMH.”
Several other users on the platform shared similar sentiments, with one remarking: “People will buy them to smash.”
Others criticized Trump and debated the origin of the guitars, with comments like: “JFC. More f**king grifting. He might as well enjoy it because his supporters are about to be poor,” one user wrote.
“Temu,” another commented.
“Trying to sell them before his tariffs kick in,” a netizen added.
Trump has ventured into merchandise before, offering items such as his personalized version of the Bible titled *God Save America* for $60, $399 gold high-top shoes, “MAGADonald” T-shirts, and more.
Other reactions included: “That’s what it appears to be… A Chinese copy of a Gibson Les Paul,” an X user noted.
“Welp, I’ll never play guitar again,” an X user said.
