Hip-hop star Drake has responded to Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane" after she expressed her disappointment over his endorsement deal with online casino Stake.com.

The Canadian rapper, often seen streaming gambling content on Kick, commented during fellow streamer LosPollosTV's chat with a cryptic remark, “I watched the clip what’s she mad about? Is it the braids??!?”

Fans speculate this could reference Kendrick Lamar’s diss track Euphoria, in which Lamar raps, “Cutthroat business, you got shit twisted / What is it? The braids?”

Pokimane had earlier voiced her concerns, saying, “When I heard Drake was involved with Stake, my heart broke, I’ma be honest. Because I’ve been a little Drake fangirl, you know, the Canadian blood running through my veins, and I still love his music. Now I don’t love him as much as a person.”

Her disappointment stems from her stance against gambling content and its potential impact on younger, impressionable audiences.

A prominent advocate for stricter regulations on gambling streams, Pokimane has been a vocal critic of unlicensed gambling platforms, a position that previously placed her at odds with other streamers like xQc.

Drake’s deal with Stake.com, which co-owns Kick, has fueled debates over the ethics of gambling endorsements in streaming.

While Drake’s cryptic response has left fans speculating about its intent, the ongoing dialogue highlights the tension between content creators and influencers promoting gambling platforms.
