The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) has launched a four-week "National Outreach Programme" for the higher education faculty (Lecturers/Assistant Professors) at the Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University Quetta (SBKWU). The opening ceremony was held at the university's video conferencing Hall on Saturday.

The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr Rubina Mushtaq, NAHE Director Sulaiman Ahmed, NAHE focal person Sohail Raza Mangi, SBKWU Registrar Dr Rahila Manzoor and Coordinator Dr Tahira Mengal.

The four-week programme, which is intended for early career faculty of public sector universities in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), will accelerate the transfer of essential knowledge, skills and attitudes in three dimensions of a successful career as a faculty member: (1) Teaching & Learning (2) Applied Research and (3) Professional Practice.

NAHE Director Sulaiman Ahmed said that dynamic modules were presented by NAHE on technology integration in higher education. "We as educators will learn how to navigate the emerging digital landscape and post-learning environment."

He further said that students would acquire the skills to design innovative teaching methods and explore using various tools to enhance teaching and learning in a mobile world. "The programme is designed to enable the integration and implementation of effective speaking strategies."

In the end, shields were distributed to the guests.
