Reports of ambulances at Mar-a-Lago on November 21 sparked rumors on social media suggesting President-elect Donald Trump was transported in an emergency vehicle. The claims, which quickly gained traction online, were debunked by official sources, confirming the ambulances were unrelated to Trump.
Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi clarified the situation in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “We are not tracking any Secret Service-directed medical transports from Mar-a-Lago, and our personnel on the ground report no such incidents.” According to USA Today, the ambulances were part of Vice President-elect JD Vance’s official motorcade. It is standard protocol for such motorcades to include emergency medical vehicles as a precaution.
Steven Cheung, a communications director under Trump, criticized the spread of misinformation, calling the speculation unnecessary and misleading. A reporter from The Independent also confirmed that the ambulances were unrelated to any medical emergencies involving Trump.
At 78, Trump is set to become the oldest individual inaugurated as president when he takes office in January 2025. While his age has fueled ongoing public interest in his health, there have been no recent indications of any health issues. The presence of ambulances at Mar-a-Lago was purely logistical for Vance’s visit, as confirmed by multiple sources.
