Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent collaboration with YouTube titan MrBeast has become the talk of the internet, not just for its star power but also for a quip that left fans divided.

In the video titled "I Meet MrBeast to Break the Internet!", MrBeast humorously interrupted Ronaldo as he mentioned nearing his 40th birthday, saying, "Almost 40, you're about to die!" Both men laughed, but the moment has ignited a mixed response from fans.

On X (formerly Twitter), one fan reacted, "Why’d he cook my old man like that?" Another added, "Mr Beast really hit him with the 'your expiration date is near' line." However, some were less amused, asking, "Why would bro say that?" and "How can he say something like this?"

The video, uploaded to Ronaldo’s rapidly growing YouTube channel, amassed over 7 million views within five hours. MrBeast, whose main channel boasts 331 million subscribers, marveled at Ronaldo’s meteoric rise on the platform: "Honestly, I thought you were gonna do about 20 or 30 million in your first month. When you did 60, I was like, Oh my gosh. It’s like the most ever gained in one month. Before you, it was 20 million, and that was us. So, sixty, that was insane!"

During their exchange, MrBeast asked Ronaldo about his personal milestones and future aspirations.

When MrBeast questioned what it felt like to reach a billion followers across platforms, Ronaldo responded, "It felt great, but honestly, not surprising. I know the passion people have for me and football. It’s been an amazing journey."

The conversation also touched on Ronaldo’s career longevity. "I’m not thinking about retiring anytime soon," Ronaldo stated, adding, "I want to keep playing for as long as I can."

MrBeast, in turn, shared his own ambitions: "I’m going to live until 100. I just want to let you know."

Fans appreciated the candid discussion but noted awkward moments, such as when MrBeast discussed his extreme YouTube challenges, like burying himself alive for seven days or spending a week in solitary confinement.

Ronaldo called these stunts "wild," adding, "Man, that’s crazy! I’m just trying to focus on playing football."

Despite some initial disappointment from fans hoping for a Messi-Ronaldo collaboration, the video’s rapid viewership growth is a testament to the draw of these two internet powerhouses. As one fan put it, "MrBeast and Ronaldo together? It’s unexpected, but it’s pure entertainment."
