Playboi Carti's fanbase is once again grappling with disappointment. The rapper spent Thursday night building anticipation for a new music release, hyping up fans with promises of a November 22 drop.

However, when the expected release time arrived, nothing materialized. Fans were left waiting as Carti failed to deliver any new tracks on streaming platforms or social media.

Adding to their frustration, he offered no explanation or updates about a potential delay.

The situation follows a series of teases from Carti, including a text exchange shared days prior where he promised new music and a pinned Instagram comment saying, “You can’t rush art.”

Some fans argue that the rapper’s release of two snippets on November 21—a minute-and-a-half clip titled "Play This" and another untitled preview—might count as "new music" in his mind.

However, as one fan pointed out, "November 21 isn’t November 22," making his initial promise feel like an empty gesture.

Carti’s comments leading up to the no-show further added to the confusion. He posted enthusiastically about his upcoming album, claiming it would be “overly trimm” and declaring that he was “locked rn.”

These cryptic remarks led fans to believe a significant release was imminent. Instead, they turned to social media to express their disappointment.

Some fans vented their frustrations bluntly. “Playboi Carti ain’t a chill guy,” one user wrote. “So f*ck him and whoever making him delay his songs.”

Another fan called out the rapper’s dedicated following, saying, “The fans literally worship him. If y’all stop riding his nuts and actually stop fw him for leaving y’all dry… maybe he’ll actually drop.”

The rapper's unpredictable rollout strategy has left many questioning their loyalty.

For now, fans are left with snippets and unfulfilled promises as they continue waiting for the next chapter in Carti’s music career.
