First-year student murdered by friends in Rawalpindi

Reports show Tayyab was killed by friend in restage area after which bullet-ridden body was recovered near marquee

RAWALPINDI:

According to the police, a murder incident was reported in the limits of the Race Course police station in Rawalpindi, in which a first-year student Tayyab was shot dead.

Initial reports showed that Tayyab was killed by a friend in the restage area, after which his bullet-ridden body was recovered near the marquee.

According to the plaintiff, it is suspected that Tayyab Faisal was killed by his friend Muhammad Yousuf along with other accomplices.

Yousuf had been prevented from meeting Tayyab Faisal even before he was brought in.

The police have registered a case of murder and started investigation and raids are being conducted to find the accused.

In a tragic incident in October, a young man allegedly killed a woman before taking his own life in an apparent murder-suicide at a residence on Kartarpura Road, Rawalpindi.

Previously, two young students were killed in an alleged police encounter in Rawalpindi's Chakri Road area, prompting a public outcry as their families claim the pair were wrongfully shot.

The incident took place in the Nasirabad police precinct, where the victims, identified as cousins Muzammil and Subhan, were reportedly killed during an alleged police shootout.

According to family members, the two were students and had no criminal record.

Muzammil was dropping Subhan off at home when the incident occurred.

The father of one of the deceased, who resides abroad, along with other relatives, has accused the police of unjustly killing the two young men.
