Two gunned down in separate cases
KARACHI:
Two people were killed on Thursday in separate incidents.
A 27-year-old seminary teacher, who used to teach students in Jama Masjid Subhania in Khokhrapar, was shot dead when he was sitting outside a concrete cement block store in Pak Kausar Colony. The owner of the shop, Munir, also sustained injuries. The victim was identified as Qazi Noor Ahmed and was taken along with Munir to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Qazi’s body was handed over to his family after autopsy.
Qazi hailed from Chitral and lived on his own in Karachi on the premises of the seminary where he used to teach.
Separately, a 25-year-old man was gunned down in Allah Dad Goth within the limits of the Mochko Police Station. SHO Mohammad Farman said that the victim, Lal Mohammad Khan Mehsud, arrived in Karachi two days ago from Quetta.
He was staying with his cousin, Fareed Ullah, and was heading home when unidentified persons ambushed him and opened indiscriminate firing on him.
According to the police, the victim left behind one daughter. Police moved his body to Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities and later handed it over to his cousin. However, no case was registered till filing the report.
