The Weeknd has raised questions over Lana Del Rey’s absence from Billboard’s “Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century” rankings.

On November 19, the "Blinding Lights" singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, expressed his thoughts on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), asking, “Where is Lana on that Billboard’s greatest pop star list?”

Billboard’s ongoing ranking highlights influential artists like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber. The current standings place Drake at No. 4, with the top three spots yet to be revealed. However, Lana Del Rey's omission has sparked frustration among fans.

The Weeknd’s post, which has amassed 11,000 retweets and 48,000 likes, garnered supportive reactions from fans. Comments included, “Say it louder for the uneducated in the back” and “She deserves so much, this industry is garbage!”

Known for her distinctive style and haunting music, Lana Del Rey remains a beloved figure in pop music. The Weeknd, who ranked No. 18 on the same list, has collaborated with her on the 2017 track “Lust For Life.”

Fans are now eagerly awaiting the final rankings, questioning the criteria for Billboard’s prestigious list.
