The police apprehended a suspect in the murder of a 13-year-old boy after sexually assaulting him.
According to a police spokesperson, Junaid and others lured the 13-year-old and killed him with a sharp instrument after subjecting him to sexual assault and threw his body in an empty plot.
After the case was registered, the raiding parties formed by City Police Officer (CPO) DIG Kamran Adil under the leadership of CIA Iqbal Town in-charge Sub-Inspector Umar Sarfraz Warraich raided various places and apprehended the main accused Junaid and after detaining him, started searching for his other companions.
Meanwhile, a woman died and three employees including a ladies sub-inspector were injured in two separate traffic accidents. The injured were shifted to hospital.
A bus hit Adib, a resident of Nawab Town, while he was riding a motorcycle with his 30-year-old wife Sania near Al-Aziz Hotel, Samundari Road. Reportedly, the driver of the bus drove negligently and collided with their motorcycle. Sonia fell from the motorcycle and the bus run over her, suffering serious injuries.
She was shifted to the hospital after, where she died after struggling for life. Upo receiving information, police reached the spot and took possession of the body and handed it over to its heirs after taking legal action. Police have registered a case against the absconding driver.
